Acoustic Blend Café Show

I am very happy to announce that I am the featured performer at the Acoustic Blend Café, Saturday October 15 at 8pm.

The Acoustic Blend Café, affectionately known as ABC, provides a warm gathering place for people to enjoy great music, delicious food and drink, with lots of camaraderie. Each event has a feature performer. After the feature there is an open mic for any one who wants an opportunity to perform.

Joining me on this show will be fiddler Matt Coleman, pianist Ian Green and my partner in crime Nikki Loney.

This is a great venue, family friendly, see you there!

Bach on the Dock

Nikki captured me playing some Bach this past August on the dock/lookout at the family cottage up near Bobcaygeon, On. A nice reflection of the summer just past as we all are now back to school, work and crazy schedules.

I wanted to share this video

This is my good friend, the multi-talented Dave Simpson. He had a gig this past Friday at Hamilton's Ferguson Station Pavilion. Dave is playing some beautiful Claude Debussy on the Vibraphone. Enjoy!

I'm very popular with the under 2 crowd.

My son Noah came out to see me play at Indigo yesterday. Got some great video footage of how to dance to instrumental guitar music!

On stage with Jon Anderson

Had a great time at the 2011 Festival of Friends this past weekend! Many thanks to those of you who came out, braved the crowds and got sunburned. One of the highlights for me was to be able to play & share the stage with the legendary Jon Anderson. That's him in the middle as we are setting up. I quickly snapped this photo with my Blackberry, hoping he wasn't one of those guys that would object to picture taking. We were each in turn interviewed by the Spec's Tom Hogue and then performed songs individually. At the end of the hour Jon puts down his guitar, turns to me and says "You play something, and I'll sing" so we wrote on the spot a tune all about summer and the festival. Jon and is wife Jane are the most humble and friendly folks you could ever hope to meet.
